2020 and Toilets What a Year…
Well 2020 is one for the books. No matter what industry, sector, age, career, gender you are, 2020 will go down in history as the year the world stood still. The portable toilet sector is no different, this year has been a shock to the equipment hire industry as most of us rely heavily on the event sector, weddings, festivals, sporting events and so forth.
With all events (term used very broadly) postponed for the foreseeable, we have had to adapt and pivot our business, to ensure that we came out of lockdown stronger than ever. Portable toilet hire, very luckily were somewhat in high-demand but just in different sectors. We distributed portable toilets for example to our local National Park in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. With the pandemic highlighting the fact that some of our local beauty spots needed extra toilet sanitisation and at a safe distance. Portable toilets are a brilliant and easy solution.
Portable Toilets In 2020
Our portable toilets, come with hand sanitiser dispensers in each unit, meaning that you aren’t waiting for taps to get warm with hot water (most portable toilets don’t even offer this unless you rent a Honeywagon trailer) and thus minimising the time the public spend in the toilet. Our hand sanitiser is above 70% alcohol content, meaning that when you hire a portable toilet from us at Honeywagon Co. you do not need to worry about killing germs, with the NHS stating that anything over 70% kills Covid-19. Our portable toilets also have grid flooring meaning that when we service and pressure wash our portable plastic toilets for hire, the mud, and general dirt from people coming in and out of the toilets are going through the grates, keeping it cleaner for longer. Portable toilet hire for the National Park has all honestly been a life line for our portable toilet hire business, when all our events and weddings had to be postponed.
2020 has been the year when we have managed to reflect and see what is really important and we have all said, here at Honeywagon, that it fundamentally is the community spirit. We are so lucky to have our business based on the banks of Loch Lomond, with all our nearest and dearest here too. We are even more lucky to have the picturesque Loch, the views from Ben Lomond, the Conic, the cycle tracks in the forestry and the amazing local shops and cafes bringing in locals, and when permitted other Scot’s who have had to have a staycation this year. Our community got behind our company as did our local council and National Park to allow our portable toilets to be distributed across Loch Lomond to keep the public safe, keep Covid at bay and to allow us to maintain our business, for that, to our community we are forever thankful!
